You’ll see Minneapolis’ railroad history unfold as we tour the Minnesota Transportation Museum facilities at various locales in the Twin Cities
You’ll get a glimpse of rural Minnesota from the windows of steam and diesel powered excursion trains.
A tour of various sites of railroad interest will include the former Northern Pacific Como car shops which is the location of the Twin Cities Model Railroad Museum, a visit to the James J. Hill house, and restored Milwaukee Road depot and perhaps take a hike over the Stone Arched Bridge.
For those passenger equipment fans, the Minnesota Zephyr Dinner Train with its former Southern Pacific ¾ length dome will be a “must see”.
Of course the traditional convention activities will take place including a night photo session, seminars, Meet the Officers Reception, the Board of Directors and Annual Membership Meeting.
